Item details

This listing is for a black and white REPRODUCTION copy of HOW TO SEW AND SAVE WITH COTTON BAGS. This handy little book contains various things which can be made using cotton feedsacks/flour sacks (bags). Some examples in this booklet are how to make baby clothes and doll clothes, fashions for teenagers, curtains, bedroom accessories, sack suits, crocheting items, dresses, aprons, doilies, and many other things. It gives information on where to get cotton bags, how to open cotton bags, how to remove printing, dyes and stencils and it talks about the different styles of clothing as well as decorating ideas that can be created with cotton bags. One full page give ideas and illustrations on home decorating with cotton bags. It gives pattern numbers on many pages. We recently purchased the original at a rural Kansas estate auction. You will receive a black and white reproduction copy of this vintage booklet. It is perfect for those of you who collect vintage feedsacks. No Copyright date found, but I am guessing that it may date to the 1930's or early 40s.
