Item details

This listing is for a REPRODUCTION copy of Bag Magic for Home Sewing. This handy little vintage book contains various things which can be made using cotton feedsacks/flour sacks (bags). Examples of illustrations in this booklet include aprons, dresses, baby clothes, lingerie, tea towels, crochet items, and more!! It even illustrates different stitches you can use. THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS BOOKLET IS THAT THERE IS INFORMATION ON HOW TO REMOVE PRINTING ON SACKS AS WELL AS THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL IN VARIOUS SIZE BAGS. IT ALSO TELLS HOW MANY BAGS OR SACKS (as well as bag measurements) ARE NEEDED FOR EVERY ILLUSTRATION. We recently purchased the original at a rural Kansas estate auction. You will receive a reproduction copy of this vintage booklet. It is perfect for those of you who collect vintage feedsacks. No Copyright date found, but I am guessing that it may date to the 1930's or early 40s.
