You're going to love this dress; it's really easy and so versatile and can be made in lots of different versions and fabrics. It is a loose fitting pull-on shift dress with no fastenings, making it a brilliant first dressmaking project. There are 2 different finishes for the neck - a roll-over collar or simple bound boat neck, optional side seam pockets and optional tie belt. You can customise it further by making it with the optional pleats or just using the bodice to make a simple boxy top. It's cool worn on its own for summer and makes a great layering piece worn with long sleeved t-shirts and leggings for winter. It works in a wide range of fabrics both knitted and woven.
The dress is a fairly loose fitting generously sized garment so 3 sizes are included in the pattern ranging from bust size 80cm to 101cm (31.5" to 40") and hip size 88cm to 109cm (34.5" to 43"). This pattern is sized based on body measurements not dress sizes and includes full details of finished garment measurements for each size to make sure you get the right size first time.
This pattern is easy and would be suitable for beginners that have just started to sew!
