Pictures #1,2: Quartersawn Oak with Dark Walnut Stain Picture #3: Cherry Picture #4: Quartersawn Oak (unstained) PIcture #5: Walnut
Construction: This frame is constructed of quartersawn white oak with through-mortise and tenon corners, in proper craftsman fashion. The backing material is 3/16" acid-free foamboard held on by turnbuttons, allowing for the backing to be removed and replaced with just a #1 Phillips screwdriver. A sawtooth hanger is installed, so the frame is ready to hang. Each frame includes 3/32" glass. Note, this listing does not include matting or photos.
Sizes: I have listed and priced standard sizes, but I can make any size of frame needed up to a maximum of 24”x36”. The most common standard sizes are: 8”x10” 8.5”x11” 11”x14” 16”x20” 20"x28" 24”x36” (All dimensions are of the glass/backing/item to be framed--- not the outside dimension of the frame.)
In the frames shown, the horizontal rails are 3" wide and the vertical stiles are 2" wide. For frames smaller than 11x14 the widths of the stiles and rails will be scaled down to retain the rough proportions of the frame pictured.
Frames larger than 16x20 will use plexiglass instead of regular glass to prevent breakage during shipping.
Please contact me for custom sizes. Custom sizes will priced the same as the next larger standard size.
Cost of shipping is included in the listing price. (Contiguous U.S. only)
