This strong, durable fabric has a multitude of uses; Peruvians use them as rugs to sit on, as slings to carry babies in, or as table cloths and throws. They also make all manner of handicrafts with them such as bags, belts, shoes, purses and clothing. Be inspired and have a go yourself!
The vibrant colours are typical of the Andes and the designs have been used for thousands of years. Both sides shows the same pattern. The fabric has a fine silver thread running through it in places, adding a little sparkle.
This beautiful fabric has finished edges. It is made from acrylic material but when you iron it you can use the cooler of the cotton settings.
The fabric measures 125 cm x 120 cm (49 x 47 inches)
We only have one of each colour here in the UK but have more in Peru so please send us a message if you would like several of the same colour.
It was made in Peru but they are also made in Bolivia (Peru and Bolivia were once one and the same!), hence our title.
