This listing is for the materials only for the tiger rug pattern found in my book 'Faux Taxidermy Knits'. This listing does not include the single pattern. I have chosen to do this to allow those who already own the book to buy the kit.

Due to a high volume of requests from my lovely customers I have made a kit for the tiger rug pattern!

I suggest using Wool and the Gang in my book, a luxury yarn brand that can make the project quite expensive (almost £300). I have put together an alternative which lowers the cost and includes everything you need to make the tiger. The rug requires you to double up the yarns.

Finished size: 127cm x 156cm

What's included in your kit:
1700g of super chunky acrylic yarn in orange
600g of super chunky acrylic yarn in cream
700g of super chunky acrylic yarn in black
2 x 24mm black toy safety eyes and washers
1 square of yellow and black felt
15mm circular knitting needles
Plastic sewing up needle
A handmade hessian bag

This kit not suitable for children under 3 years. If you would like to knit this kit and give it to a child we suggest you embroider the eye on using dk yarn.

This project is aimed at intermediate to advanced knitters, if you can confidently change colour, increase and decrease it is easily made. It knits up in 50+ hours. The pattern is written in chart form for the knitting with written sewing up instructions.

Dispatch: We always aim to dispatch our kits on the same day, if ordered before 2pm, or the next working day. Our maximum lead time is two working days and we'll get in touch to let you know if this is the case. Please note our shipping policies before ordering which can be found in our FAQs below.

We aim to ship our orders on the same or next working day. Our same day cut of point is 2pm. Orders placed on Friday after 2pm are dispatched on Monday. All orders are sent to the shipping address provided. Sincerely Louise can not be responsible for parcels being undelivered if an incorrect address is supplied. Our orders are sent using the Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For service and should arrive within 48 hours after dispatch. This is a tracked and signed for service. Orders can be upgraded to a '1st Class Signed For' service and should arrive 24 hours after dispatch. We can offer a next day special delivery service on request for an additional fee. Tracking number are only available on request.

All International Orders Orders are sent via a standard (non tracked) service which is not guaranteed. However you can upgrade your order to a signed for service which is tracked and guaranteed to arrive. Shipping to Europe should take 3 - 5 working days to arrive, but can take up to 20 days using the standard service. Shipping to countries outside of Europe should take 5 - 7 working days to arrive, but can take up to 25 days using the standard service. All orders are sent to the shipping address provided. Sincerely Louise can not accept responsibility for undelivered parcels if an incorrect address is supplied. Orders that are returned to us in 'Nixie' will need the postage re-paid for, or we can offer a refund minus the postage costs.

If your item hasn't arrived that makes us as upset as you and will do everything we can to get you knitting ASAP! Firstly we'll ask for you to check your local delivery office to see if it has arrived and is being held. In most cases of undelivered items the orders are returned back to SL HQ marked 'not called for'. If you item has been lost in the post then we'll send another one out to you. In accordance with Royal Mail's lost item policy Sincerely Louise can only send the replacement order 10 days after it's due delivery date for UK orders, 20 days after it's due delivery date for European orders and 25 days after it's due delivery date for Worldwide orders. We recommend choosing a signed for service so we can track your item.

Yes you can. You can add in the note section if your order is a gift and include a special message too. We'll include the order receipt but not any of the prices. We currently wrap each kit in tissue paper. We do not offer a gift wrap service.

We'd recommend one of our easy knit scarf knits, like the fox, panda or bear. These kits include tips for beginners throughout the pattern and only use the 'knit' stitch. Our unicorn scarf is also very easy, but does not include the beginner tips. If you can knit, purl and decrease we'd recommend one of our hat kits. Our kits won't teach you how to knit but are designed to be fun and simple knits. We're currently working on our first set of Youtube videos so watch this space. We're always happy to point you in the right direction of our favourite learn to knit videos in the mean time.

We can offer our knitting kits as finished pieces, just drop us a message with what you're interested in and we'll see what we can do. Please note that we do charge accordingly per piece and that they are not 'cheap' to buy. We'd always recommend buying a kit and seeing if you have any friends or relatives who can make it up for you.

All our patterns are for personal use only and feature a copyright notice which states they cannot be used for any commercial purpose without permission from the copyright holder. This is our policy because we've spent a long time establishing ourself as an independent brand. We feel when people sell our finished knits it undervalues the business and the hard work spent designing the patterns. We love it when our kits being gifted, be it to a crafter to make, or a finished piece to friends or family, but it breaks our heart seeing a finished piece being sold and our copyright ignored. Very happy with the quality of this kit and it's supplies, and pleasantly surprised when I opened the packages (it shipped in two lots due to size) with the extras! Great communication with the seller as well. I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
