This design came about as I had a friend who wanted to teach some basic embroidery stitches to children at a medieval camp. This is an adaptation of my Penguin Hussif which you can also find in my Etsy store.
There are 6 basic embroidery stitches: blanket stitch, French knots, button hole stitch, satin stitch, straight stitch, double running (Holbein) stitch.
Now YOU can make your own little Knight Hussif.
Holds scissors in the front, opens up and has a place for needles inside and includes a pocket on the inside, which you can store cottons, measuring tape or other things in.
Pattern includes full colour pictures, step by step instructions and the template for the shapes required. There are also a few options, to personalise your own knight.
This is suitable for children - with some guidance - I have taught this to a range of young people.
I have also adapted the design for further ease, where instead of using stranded cotton, you can use #5 perle thread. I taught this adaptation to a group of 27 children aged 5 - 12years old with success.
Digital Pattern only, you will need: felt, thread, needle, velcro or a dome & scissors to complete.
