Item details

This is a .pdf crochet pattern, written in standard American crochet terms, for Koji the tiger.

With this rather easy pattern, you can make a beautiful, realistic looking, playful crochet tiger amigurumi. Koji is made with a 100% wool and he is sitting 5,8 inch/ 14,8 cm.

The hardest part when making this tiger is the multiple colour changes in a round for the head and body. To make it as easy as possible, I have written the pattern for the head and body in stitch colour, so you don’t really have to think about what to do but just follow the coloured steps. Even a beginner should be able to make this tiger after a bit of practice. At my blog you can find extra info about changing colour, attaching the animal etc. The special stitches for the toes are so clearly written, even my boyfriend could make them. Koji is very playful and flexible. Because of his long arms and legs, this doll can be placed in all kinds of positions to give him real character.

Size
5,8 inch/ 14,8 cm tall when made with worsted weight yarn.

Gauge
Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.

Materials and tools needed
Three colours of worsted weight yarn, one skein of each is more than enough and animal eyes. You will also need: crochet hook for worsted weight yarn (E US/3,5 mm), embroidery needles, scissor and stitch markers. A pipe cleaner for the tail is optional and you need a hard (animal) brush to create the sideburns. The animal is made with Istex Lett Lopi yarn.

The crochet pattern contains:

An intro with useful info.
List of materials, tools and accessories needed.
Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn.
A clear description of how to crochet and assemble the animal.
Pictures to help getting everything right.

Note: this pattern is for personal use only, so for yourself or as gifts etc. I’m not okay with selling dolls made with this pattern, especially on Etsy or somewhere else online. Selling a few on a craft market I am okay with, as long as you mention my name as the designer.
