Lavender is a beautiful, fragrant bush that produces purple, white, and/or yellow flowers, depending on the specific variety. Lavender seeds take 2-3 weeks to germinate and should be started early indoors so that they have plenty of time to grow into mature plants during the warm growing season.
In this process, seeds should be placed in a sealable plastic bag filled with moist soil. Use a commercial soil specially formulated for starting seeds. Place the plastic bag with the soil and seeds inside the refrigerator and allow it to sit for three weeks.
Sprinkle the seeds on top of the soil.
If using a plastic seedling tray, plant one seed per slot.
If planting in a division-free container, space the seeds 1/2 to 1 inch (1.27 to 2.54 cm) apart.
Cover the seeds with 1/8 inch (1/3 cm) potting mix. A light coating of potting mix protects the seeds, but the seeds also need access to sunlight in order to germinate.
Keep the seeds in a warm spot. A heat tray often works best, but another work location may also work as long as the temperature remains around 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius).
Lightly water the seeds. Keep the growing medium moist, but not damp, and water the seeds in the morning so that the soil can dry some before evening hits. Soil that is too damp and cool will invite fungus to grow, and fungus will destroy your seeds.
Lavender seeds can take two weeks to one month to sprout.
Give sprouted seeds plenty of light. After the seeds sprout, you should move the container to a location that receives plenty of direct sunlight. If no such location is available, place a fluorescent grow light about the sprouts and allow them to sit in the artificial light for eight hours a day.
Expose the lavender to outdoor conditions slowly. Place your pots outdoors in partial shade or partial sun for a few hours at a time. Do this for about one week, just long enough for the lavender to have time to adapt to outdoor conditions.
Choose a sunny location. Lavender plants do best when grown in partial to full sun. Shaded areas tend to be soggier, and soggy soil can invite fungi that will destroy the plant.

We grow every product that we sell, and in addition we test our seeds twice per year for germination. We do not replace or refund buyers when they are not able to germinate or grow our seeds. Your money will be refunded in the same manner it was paid. Seller promises seed to be fresh. Seed is a live product, which depends on many important grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, type of soil, watering, light intensity, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, soil conditions, and reasonable weather during the growing period. These factors are totally out of the seller's control, and germination and growing results are the buyer's responsibility and risk. Seller cannot be responsible for buyers growing methods or mistakes. All seed sales are final. No refunds or replacements after the 5 days have expired.
Buyers be aware: (We deal with these scenarios daily and they are out of our control)
Nature's Potions works 7 days per week to process orders -
During high peak / high volume times of the year we cannot guarantee that the buyers order will ship out within the 1-3 days listed. By purchasing from our shop, the buyer agrees to not post negative feedback regarding slow processing and slow shipping practices during high peak seasons. The seller has no control over the usps, and buyers need to be aware that it can take up to 2 1/2 weeks to receive the order (not all orders but some orders will arrive very late). The usps loses an average of 5 - 10 orders each week, with or without tracking.
It is the buyers responsibility to provide the correct shipping address. We do not replace orders that are sent to the wrong address. If the buyer submits the order containing an incorrect address, we will not replace the order, nor will we refund the cost of the order or the shipping cost. Due to the volume of orders coming in, it is impossible for the shop staff to look up orders and change addresses.
If the buyers state or country prohibits certain types of seeds, it is the buyers responsibility to "not purchase" said seeds. We do not replace confiscated seeds.
