"The Cross-Stitcher’s Guide to the Galaxy" Collection of Counted Cross-Stitch Patterns is available for instant download in PDF format.
After re-reading Douglas Adams’ classic sci-fi adventure, "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy," I thought it would be fun to put together this themed collection of counted cross-stitch patterns!
Stitch a comforting “DON’T PANIC” onto your favorite notebook in big, friendly letters, or frame these designs and hang them on your wall so everyone will sass that you’re a hoopy frood who really knows where your towel is. My completed and framed Ill-Fated Whale currently lives on the sci-fi shelf of my bookcase, where it looks right at home. These patterns would make a wonderful handmade gift for the geeky galactic traveler in your life… or hang them up in a child’s room as colorful art (and a push in the right direction)!
The samples shown in the product photos were stitched on 16 point Aida cloth with two strands of DMC floss. The floss colors that I picked for my samples are included with each pattern in the PDF, but you can easily pick out your own colors to suit your tastes or existing decor. The PDF pattern download includes a sample photo featuring all four patterns, and a color chart, symbols chart, and sample thread colors for each individual pattern. These patterns use only cross-stitch (with a small, optional French knot accent on The Planet of Sass). All are easy projects for a beginner! Below are the approximate dimensions of each piece, in inches:
DON’T PANIC 1 ½” x 2 ½” The Answer is… 42 ¾” x 1” The Planet of Sass 1” x 1 ½” Ill-Fated Whale 3 ½” x 4”
So long, and thanks for all the fish!
