Dutch Boy With Large Pumpkin and Turkey Gobbler – Vintage Thanksgiving Postcard 1913 Samsom Bros – Bright Colors and Comical Image
VINTAGE THANKSGIVING DAY POSTCARD – COMICAL SCENE OF DUTCH BOY HIDING FROM TURKEY BEHIND A LARGE PUMPKIN
The colors on this card are bright and really pop – orange, green and gold. The image is slightly comical as a young Dutch boy appears to be hiding from the turkey gobbler and is carefully keeping the large pumpkin between them. “I don’d vant any turkey, nit!” From publisher Samson Bros, the card is postally used and cancelled in 1913 along with a flag cancel.
The card does have a few faults of note – a large bend in the upper right and the appearance of a mid line crease – still this is a bright, glossy and rather jolly card to add to a collection. Please have a look at the scans and feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thanks for stopping by TheOldBarnDoor. Click here to return to my store and search for more treasures.

Shipping & policies
I will select the most cost effective shipping method possible.
Rates from Canada are, unfortunately, somewhat higher than those in the US. I strive to ship the next business day after payment but it may be up to 3 business days if things on the farm are really busy (lambing season, hay season etc). I will gladly combine items purchased to reduce the overall postage cost and I will mark the item shipped on the day I mail your item.
International customers are responsible for duties, taxes and customs fees assessed by your country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; sellers have no control over these charges. You may contact your local customs office for more information.
When filling out customs forms, Canadian, U.S. and International government regulations prohibit sellers from marking merchandise values lower than the selling price, as well as marking items as gifts. Unfortunately, I have no control over the time it may take for your item to go through Customs before it arrives to you.
Payment through PayPal is preferred however I am delighted to be able to offer you the Direct Checkout option if that is more to your liking.
