FAQs

I recommend hand washing pieces to prolong their life. However, my pieces are tested in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Never take a cold or frozen pot and put directly in the oven. Avoid heat shock. Pottery is still breakable, so care while using and washing needs to be considered!

I use a combination of new and recycled bubble, kraft paper, and boxes to insure safe delivery to your doorstep! I can write a customized note in a package if it is a gift, please let me know in the notes to seller.

Short answer, no. I throw each piece individually by starting with the same weight of clay. As the wheel spins I center, pull, and do finishing touches to each piece before it's trimmed and has a handle pulled and added if it is a mug. Each piece will vary slightly. One may be shorter, one may be fatter by a little bit. It is hand formed, not formed in a mold. They are dipped in a bucket to glaze and fired. Slight changes in thickness or kiln placement and temperature in the kiln can create slightly different results. It is handmade and I hope my customers will embrace the small variation.

No, none of my glazes contain lead or barium.
