Plant Dyed Crewel Wool and Vintage Linen Embroidery Kit

This kit includes a plant dyed piece of vintage linen dyed a soft pink from avocado pits. It measures 12 3/4" x 16".

There are 5, 27 yard skeins of crewel wool. The brown is created from walnut hulls, the blue from indigo with subtle tonal changes throughout, the yellow from tansy flowers, the green from dried hollyhock flowers, and the orange from coreopsis flowers. Giving you a wide palette to work from!

I've thought of creating patterns to go with these kits, but really I'll leave that up to you. I will tuck in a resource guide of books and sites I have used regularly when learning new stitches or looking for inspiration. Let me know what you create!

Wash only in cold, with ph neutral soaps if you must, by hand and lay flat to dry. Iron from the back of the stitching with a damp towel covering your work to protect the stitches.
