Items will be shipped using your selected shipping policy. Please leave a message if you desire a different USPS shipping method. Typically I use USPS First Class or Priority Flat Rate Mail depending on size and weight. Orders will be shipped within 1-5 business days of paid order.
Combined shipping on Etsy is really awful, as far as fabric sellers go. Please use the following information to get an estimate of what your shipping charges might be. Shipping fees in excess of $1.00 or more over the actual shipping cost will be refunded. The refund will be processed with your order when shipped.

This shipping list is for Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes or boxes. I ship packages using the method chosen by the buyer (First Class or Priority Mail) unless the method cannot be utilized. The list below will give you a general idea of what shipping costs could be.
Due to rising cost of shipping supplies, I have found it necessary to add a $1.50 processing fee per domestic US orders and a $2.00 processing fee on international outside of the US orders.

Typically I work and ship Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and occasionally on Saturday's. Orders placed after Noon on Fridays, may not ship until the following Monday. This shop is closed on all major US holidays. Although, I still try to respond to messages as quickly as possible, sometimes, family and/or holiday events prohibit me from doing so.
PLEASE make sure your shipping address is correct on your order as The Fabric Asylum is not responsible for packages delivered to the wrong address.
The Fabric Asylum will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or undeliverable packages due to an incorrect address. I will be happy to assist you with locating your package by providing all relevant shipping information. If you have delivery issues with your local postal service, it is your responsibility to let me know and purchase insurance. Additional insurance or other mail services, must be added to your order prior to payment completion.
ORDER CANCELLATION - If a requested item is unavailable, The Fabric Asylum reserves the right to cancel that order or item from an order and immediately issue a refund for that item plus any related shipping charge.
LOW OR OUT OF STOCK INVENTORY - Occasionally an item might be low on stock for your order, or out of stock. If the fabric/item is out of stock, a refund will be issued and your order cancelled. If the fabric/item has insufficient stock to fill your order, a message will be sent to you, offering to complete your order with stock that is available, refunding the difference, or cancel your order and refund the entire amount. If there is no response within 3 business days, your order will be completed, sending the stock on hand and a partial refund for the product that is unavailable.
RETURNS: Please read the item description completely, returns are not accepted on Patterns, Cut Fabrics, Changed Mind and Color. I'm a small business, not a major department store. Once fabric is ordered it is yours. If there is a problem, please contact me.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - please note that "package tracking" may not available beyond US customs for first class or priority mail. The Fabric Asylum is not responsible for any fees incurred through customs. Additional insurance or other mail services, must be added to your order prior to payment completion.
CUSTOMS FORMS - The Fabric Asylum is required to mark "merchandise" and the actual amount paid for your merchandise on all customs forms. When your package arrives you may be required to pay an additional tariff or fee to pick up your package. The Fabric Asylum is NOT responsible to pay this fee. Please do not ask me to alter any information to lower your custom fees. I am happy to ship your order in multiple packages to lower the purchase amount of each package, however, additional shipping charges will apply. If a package is refused and returned to sender, shipping costs will NOT be refunded
REQUESTS TO DELAY SHIPPING - The Fabric Asylum ships all packages within 1-5 business days unless otherwise stated in the listing. Requests to delay shipping will not be honored. If a shipping delay is needed, either wait to purchase or send me a message to discuss options.
REQUESTS TO NOT INCLUDE AN INVOICE IN YOUR PACKAGE - If your purchase is a gift, and you do not want the invoice enclosed in the package, please send me a message AND annotate your request on the order when checking out
REQUESTS TO CHANGE THE RETURN ADDRESS - A request to change the return address will not be honored. This is for the protection of both the Buyer and the Seller in the event a package is undeliverable to the buyers address.
ADDITIONAL INSURANCE: The USPS includes $100 of insurance with the purchase of all domestic Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express postage. If you need to insure these package types for more than what is included, please purchase shipping label insurance on the label purchase page for the entire value of the package.
