This pattern uses a modification of herringbone stitch to produce a lovely textural piece of beadwork, resembling knitting or little ears of corn. Held to the light there is a slightly lacy feel to the pattern too.
It can be woven as a wide, dramatic statement cuff bracelet. Alternatively it can be stitched as one single strand, as a simple bracelet or as part of a series of stacking bracelets. It would also make a beautiful bag strap or work well stitched to fabric as an embellishment.
Wide Cuff with Pearls
14g Superduos (168 beads)
3g Size 15 seed beads
42 3mm pearls
3 ringed clasp
Beading Needle - size 10 or thinner
Thin Stacker Bracelet
1.5g Size 15 beads
Beading needle - size 10 or thinner
These materials make a final bracelet of approx. 18.5cm (7 ¼ inches) in my tension.
Twin beads can be used in place of the superduos.
3mm fire polished crystals or bicones can be used in place of the 3mm pearls
