All of our goods are made on site in our Easton, Pennsylvania studio by Ken, Ron, or one of our team. We takes pride in each creation we produce.
Each object lists an approximate production time on the product detail page. Please note these production times can fluctuate slightly for various reasons including material demand, production delays, machinery needs, etc. We always strive to exceed our time estimates.
Shipping Policy Our products ship via USPS with delivery confirmation. Tracking information will be updated on the order if/and once received. Please note tracking information is provided directly by the mail carrier service. We will attempt to help with any shipping inquiries you may have, however we encourage you to contact the assigned mail carrier directly.
Mercantile Home is not liable for lost or stolen packages. We will not be held responsible for additional shipping charges if the packages are returned to our studio due to customer absence, customer errors in addresses or package refusal.
We will not be held responsible for any address corrections sent to us after the order has been placed. However, we will do our best to accommodate changes.
For international orders: We are unable to track international orders shipped via USPS once they leave the United States. Please contact the mail carrier service directly for tracking and customs inquiries.
Are you local? Local area pickup is available. If you live in or around Easton, Pennsylvania and would like to pick up your order at our studio, please leave us a note when ordering. We'd love to meet you, and will refund all shipping costs once item is picked up. If the item is in stock, we can arrange for you to come pick it up immediately. If you are ordering an item that is made to order, we will contact you as soon as your item is ready.
Most of the objects that we offer are created when they are ordered. Upon full receipt of your payment, we will start processing your order. Each listing gives an estimate of the time necessary to make your object - this time period does not include shipping time. If you need your item sooner, please inquire before placing your order. Depending on inventory, some items may be available to ship immediately.
Canceled orders will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
Returns & exchanges
Our work is made using new, organic, and recycled materials. Many of our materials are modified using specialized hand painting, dying, and other creative techniques. This gives them the character and life we love. Although each object is described and photographed to the best of our ability, the sourcing of materials often lends to each product being slightly different. If you receive an object and it is not as you hoped, please let us know and we will do our best to make it right.
Return Policy If what you received is as described but you wish to return it, we will gladly accept all unwashed, unworn and unaltered merchandise; we must receive your return within 10 days of receiving the item in order to be eligible to return it. You may return your item for store credit for the amount in which you paid at purchase time or we will issue a refund less 10% for fees/expenses incurred. The buyer is also responsible for return shipping to our studio.
If you would like to return an object, please inquire within 10 days following the receipt of the object. Be sure to include the following in your package: your name, address, order number. Items must be shipped back in the condition in which they were received - with the original tags and packaging.
Damaged Goods If the object received is damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with a photograph of the damage incurred to your item.
Final Sale/Custom Works Final sale and Custom work items may not be returned or exchanged. Final sale items will be clearly marked.
Refund Process Depending on the method of refund (store credit or 10% less refund) a refund will be credited back to your original method of payment, and will post approximately three days after the date of processing. Most returns will process in approximately two to three weeks, depending on your method of return.
Gifts can be returned for store credit only.

The goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so make sure it's packed up properly and can't get damaged on the way. All goods will be inspected on return.
