The C10 Conversion Ruler is a wonderful aid for placing the centers of a 10-Combination Division (Jyuttoubu no Kumiawase) in Temari making. While the paper-strip method for dividing and marking divisions is the gold standard in Temari making, a few modern tools have emerged to help with the 10-Combination division; the V-Ruler has been the most common one in use but is being phased out of the Japanese curricula and the JTA in favor of this handy gadget. Instructions for use can be found on TemariKai.com http://www.temarikai.com/HowToPages/C10RulerAi.html as an easily printable page.
These conversion rulers have been designed and produced in Japan by a JTA Kyoujyu/Shibu-cho. They are printed on flexible yet durable material and come in 2 parts: the C10 Conversion scale as well as a millimeter strip so that you can check placements with ease. They may be used individually or, more commonly, peeled off the self-stick backing and adhered together to form one reversible tool. This small size may further be split into 2 narrow rulers for use on smaller mari. This ruler is scaled for use on mari up to 30cm in circumference (see Large size for use on larger mari).
No more needing to calculate or carry around a reference chart for C10 centers versus circumference... all that is needed to know to use this is the circumference in cm of the mari.

Useful tool, though I'm not looking forward to getting the two sides to stick to each other without making a mess.
