SHIPPING TIME FRAME:
All items will be shipped through USPS within the time frame posted for each listing. For custom or bulk orders, the time will vary, and the buyer will be given a time estimate upon ordering. Once shipped, you can TYPICALLY expect the following time frame for your order to arrive:

- Domestic USPS First Class Mail: 3-5 business days
- Domestic USPS Priority Mail: 1-3 business days
- International USPS First Class Mail: 7-21 business days
- International USPS Priority Mail: 6-10 business days

LATE PACKAGES:
We make sure each order goes out in the mail within our advertised processing times. USPS occasionally gets backed up, and orders may not arrive within their expected time frame. Cosmos Handiwork is not responsible for late packages, as long as the package was put in the mail within the advertised processing window.

INTERNATIONAL PACKAGES:
USPS First Class International packages usually take a minimum of a couple of weeks to arrive and can take up to a couple of months. Tracking information is usually NOT updated once a package leaves the United States. This doesn't mean your package is lost. Packages are often backed up waiting to go through customs. For this reason, we do NOT provide refunds for lost packages shipped via USPS First Class International mail since we have no way of verifying their status. We always recommend international customers purchase USPS Priority International shipping, which guarantees international packages in 6-10 business days.

LOST PACKAGES:
If you haven't received your item within the time frame listed below, please first contact your local post office. They may be able to provide additional information on the location of your package. If your tracking information shows that the package was delivered but you haven't received it and insurance was purchased on your package, we will be happy to replace or refund your order. Before contacting us for a replacement or refund, please try the following first:
- Check with housemates. Make sure someone didn't bring in the package and forget to let you know.
- Look around the exterior of your home (around the back door, behind bushes, etc), as mail carriers will often try to hide a package to prevent theft.
- Check with your neighbors. Occasionally the mail carrier will drop off your package at the wrong mailbox.

If you haven't received your order after 21 days (for USPS First Class or Priority Mail) or after 60 days (for USPS First Class International), please contact us. We will try to find out more information from the post office if possible. If the shipment was insured, we will file a claim and provide a refund or replacement, depending on product availability.

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING SERVICES:
Insurance and signature confirmation can be provided upon request. Contact us before placing your order so the price can be adjusted accordingly.

RETURN TO SENDER:
If a package makes its way back to us as returned to sender, we will attempt to contact the buyer for a new shipping address. The buyer is responsible for paying an additional shipping fee. We will not re-ship to the same address if the package was returned to us. Items that are returned to us via return to sender are NOT eligible for a refund. Each of our items is hand-stamped and made to order and as such cannot be relisted.

STAMPED ITEMS:
What is hand-stamping? Hand-stamping involves positioning individual stamps on the metal to be stamped and hitting it with a hammer to imprint the stamp's design on the metal. Please note that, as with any handmade goods, stamped tags are subject to imperfection. Each letter is stamped individually, and minor imperfections will be present including imperfect alignment and spacing of letters and slight warping of the tags due to the stamping process. It's all part of the charm. :) If you seek perfect printing however, you should seek out laser engraving services - hand-stamped tags are not preferred by everyone. While most of our tags are typically polished by our suppliers, light scratches or blemishes on the metal tags are common and should be expected. Refunds and re-stamps will NOT be provided based on expected minor imperfections. Refunds and re-stamps will also NOT be provided for design decisions made by Cosmos Handiwork that were not specified by the buyer (i.e. alignment, spacing, etc). The text will be darkened by default unless the buyer specifies otherwise. Unless specified otherwise in an individual item's listing, we cannot stamp tags on both sides. Except in the case of particularly thick materials, the stamping process can mar the opposite side of the tag.

BREAKAGES:
Our items are thoroughly inspected before being shipped, and they are packaged with care. If an item is damaged in transit and insurance was purchased on the package, please contact us and we will file a claim. A refund or new item will be provided if available. Cosmos Handiwork purchases materials from many different suppliers. Occasionally, a weak jump ring, link of chain, or clasp might go unnoticed. If you experience a breakage within 30 days of purchase, please contact us. If we determine the item damage was our fault, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund.

WRONG SIZE / MATERIAL:
Measurements and materials are listed for each item. If we send you the wrong item, we will happily provide a refund or replacement. We are not responsible, however, if you order the wrong size or material.

DEFAULT SIZES:
When the buyer neglects to inform us of the size required for a bracelet or necklace, we will ship a default size. For necklaces, that is approximately 18". For bracelets, the default size is 7.5".

Additional policies

Please note first and foremost that your item will NOT look exactly like what is pictured. Each item in our shop is made-to-order. The precise positioning and depth of imprint of characters on stamped tags will be slightly different. Further, unless discussed and agreed upon prior to purchase, the chain you receive may differ from that pictured due to availability of stock. The color, quality, and size of the chain will be relatively similar, but the style of chain or the type of clasp may differ. If you require a particular style of chain or type of clasp, please contact us prior to ordering to ensure we have it on hand. See below for more details.

If you do not specify stylistic details for your order (color, font, spacing, alignment, etc), we will make those design decisions according to our discretion. If you fail to specify necessary details for your order, your order may be cancelled.

MATERIALS:
Cosmos Handiwork strives to use local suppliers for our stamping blanks, chain, and findings as often as possible. While most of our tags are typically polished by our suppliers, light scratches or blemishes on the metal tags are common and should be expected. Purchasing the sterling silver option for a listing is for the chain only! Other components of the necklace are of the materials listed. If you'd like stamped tags or charms to be sterling silver as well, contact us beforehand, and we can special order materials for your necklace for an additional charge.

CHARACTER LIMITS:
For stamped items, a character limit is listed for each item. Please respect those limits when requesting the text to be stamped on a particular tag. If the character limit is not minded, we may increase the size of the tag we stamp on, use a smaller size or different style font if available, or cancel your order. If you'd like text on a particular size tag and the character limit is exceeded, please contact us beforehand. Depending on the font selection and positioning of text, we may be able to accommodate your request.

CHAIN:
The chain pictured is not necessarily the chain you will receive! We purchase different styles of chain in bulk and finish them by hand. We finish some of our chains with wire-wrapping to attach the clasps instead of using jump rings - for added security and style! Other styles will utilize jump rings for clasp attachment. If you have a preference for a particular type of chain or clasp, please contact us BEFORE placing your order to confirm that we have the supplies for your particular style on hand. If you'd like to choose a particular color or material bead for the wire-wrapped clasp, again, please contact us beforehand to ensure we have it on hand.

CUSTOM ORDERS:
If you'd like a tag in another size, shape, or color, contact me and we can find the right tags for you. I'm happy to accommodate custom requests! I maintain a supply of various gemstones, beads, charms, and miscellaneous tags. If you want a variation of something you see or something entirely new, contact me, and I'll be happy to help you.

BULK ORDERS:
I am also happy to accommodate BULK orders (10 or more tags) for a discounted price. See discount levels below. Contact me for details and a custom listing reflecting your discount. Please note that first-time customers may be required to first purchase a sample to ensure satisfaction with the product prior to purchasing in bulk. If you need a rush order, shipping fees can be waived on the sample, and you will be provided only with a photo of the stamped sample. If you decide to proceed with the bulk order, the sample will be included with your order at that time.

The percentages below reflect the MINIMUM discount you will receive based on the corresponding quantities. The precise discount offered will be based on the number of characters on each tag.

Additional shipping fees may apply for bulk orders. Note that bulk orders can be placed for items other than stamped tags (i.e. bracelets, necklaces, etc.), but these discounts may or may not apply. Please contact us for a price quote.

WEAR AND TEAR:
While items are made carefully and inspected thoroughly before shipment, things can happen to your piece from wear and tear, and it can become damaged or break if not cared for properly. If this happens, keep the materials and contact us. We'll be happy to make a repair provided you cover the cost of shipping both ways. Insurance is recommended, as we will not be responsible for lost or damaged packages.

CARE GUIDE:
Below are a few tips to care for your new jewelry and stamped tags.
- Don't wear your jewelry in water (the pool, ocean, or shower). This is particularly important for plated jewelry and stamped tags with darkened text.
- Nu gold, copper, and sterling silver and prone to tarnish. To remove tarnish, try rubbing the jewelry with a lemon juice-soaked cloth and pat dry.
