This pattern was designed by me and I just love it. I started it for an acquaintance having a baby and couldn't part with it. I am nowhere near having a grandchild, but I am saving it for the first one.
Since then, the pattern was one of the top ten finalists in Debbie Bliss' Baby Afghan Contest a few years ago.
The centerpiece of the pattern, the Embossed Heart, steals the show. The blanket has many different stitches as I tend to get bored with stockinette stitch (or worse yet - - garter stitch!). It requires 1000 yards of worsted weight yarn, #7 circular needles (or size to obtain 18 sts in 4" in stockinette stitch). The blanket is pictured knit in cotton & measures 30"x36" when completed.
Enjoy the pattern, but please, don't copy it, resell it, or sell products made from it. Thank you.
