This item is an unstrung group of shells. It is NOT a strung necklace. It's hard to know when my grandmother bought the original necklace exactly, but I am pretty sure that she got it in Hawaii while stationed there in 1952. She wore some WILD stuff, but this is one of the pieces that's a bit too much for me. That's why I unstrung it...so you can make lots of fantastic things!
These funny, bumpy little spiral shells (sorry, I'm no marine biologist!) were dipped in a pearlescent olive paint almost 60 years ago, and NONE has come off yet!
The original necklace was roughly 31" long.
The shells are drilled briolette-style, and they'd be great as lamp fringe, earrings, bracelet charms, even on cell phone fobs! I'm just too lazy to go there.
Will wrap in lots of packing materials to keep them safe. If you'd like insurance, let me know in the "notes to seller" section and I'll send you a revised PayPal receipt that includes insurance.
Ships domestically by Priority Flat Rate (Small Package).
I use USPS First-Class Mail or Priority Mail in the US and internationally.
I will send you a tracking number so that, should there be a problem, you can research missing items yourself, and I will help all I can with the shipper should there be a problem. Remember that your purchase is your responsibility. That's why they made insurance.

I package all items VERY securely and have had only one incident with item breakage. Nevertheless, BEFORE YOU PAY, shop smart: TELL ME TO INSURE YOUR PURCHASE! If your shipment is lost of broken by the post office, I will NOT give credit or like-kind goods. Your purchase is your responsibility. You can insure by sending me a convo after you buy but before you pay, requesting USPS insurance. I'll bill you the difference, then ship.
All pieces include shipping and handling. I take PayPal, Direct Payment and Etsy Gift Cards. INSURANCE IS BOTH RECOMMENDED AND EXTRA.
Returns & exchanges
I do not refund purchases, but I do provide exchanges or store credit unless the reason stems from USPS fault. That's what insurance is for.
I like to work with clients on custom orders, and to negotiate prices and to create groupings of items at a discount for wedding parties and other groups or special occasions. If you would like specific pieces for a special occasion, a new line for your consignment shop, or any other reason, please convo me. I'm up for the challenge!!
