Note from seller

Hello and welcome to my little world of glass and other fun and colorful distractions. The thing is, I'm getting married March 24th! So I am putting my shops on vacation for a few days, probably about a week. No, not because I am going on a honeymoon, but because I have to clean the mess I have made while making things for the wedding. So I will see you all next week. If you need me desperately I will still check my messages. Try to tough it out, I know it will be hard to live without me for a few days but I'm certain you will be able to tough it out. Wish me luck. If things go south it could turn into a murder mystery theme.

Do you know what a pain drilling a hole in glass can be? I mean, you would think it is easy. It isn't. Much of the advice out there is just wrong. Hence, it has taken me a lot of trial and error. A copious amount of broken glass and swearing. Sweat and blood. However, I have finally (sort of) perfected it.

So for your consideration I have made these. You will receive 5 chimes in these colors and shapes. These chimes are pre cut, drilled and polished to eliminate sharp edges. They can be used as chimes for a wind chime or simply strung across a window. They can be used one at a time or all at once for a rainbow. These are fantastic for any room of the house and the glass I used will catch the sunlight and throw the colors into the room. It reminds me of Polyanna and her rainbow makers.

The chimes are cut at random lengths and widths. This gives them each a different pitch and even my 13 year old commented that they were the prettiest sounding wind chimes he has ever heard. I have to agree.

These are awesome for a DIY gift. You can make something really unique and one of a kind without having to invest in many of the glass cutting, drilling and grinding tools. Also, when you drill glass my father told me that you have to let the drill do the work. You don't put any pressure on the glass or it breaks. you need to drill in water so the glass doesn't become over heated and break. This creates a mess, I have managed to drill holes into the bottom of countless containers of water and letting the drill do the work requires patience. I am working on that last part.

****Please note that the blue pictured is the blue you will receive unless you specify otherwise. I LOVE this color and it is much prettier in person that I am able to capture it here. It is much lighter and happier.***

Since I already wear the eye protection, have the scars, own the equipment and don't care about the mess, let me do this part for you and you, in turn get to make an awesome chime or sun catcher and call it your own!

what an awesome affordable gift for Mother's Day, Easter, or the End of the Year for teachers.

If you would like any jump rings added to these just let me know and I will be happy to do that for you.

If you would like specific colors, or shapes and sizes simply send me a message, I am happy to work with you. If I don't have a color in stock I will find it.
