One strand of 8mm round crackle glass beads, with about 50 beads on each strand.
Crackle glass uses temperature extremes during the manufacturing process to create their distinctive appearance. The heat shock creates small fractures inside most of the beads. The beads are transparent, with the color coming from a surface coating. The beads seem to sparkle and glow from the inside, and they come in a rich array of colors. (However, crackle beads are more fragile than other types of glass beads, so they tend to break easily.) Also, please be aware that the amount of visible crackling effect is quite variable, from bead to bead, and from strand to strand. Some beads may be full of sparkly little crackles, while others will have very little or no visible crackling.
These beads have been in storage for several years, so the beads may need washing before use.
Please be aware that photographic computer images of bead colors are tricky things; varying according to lighting, the whims of the camera, and your individual computer monitor display. Photo colors can appear dramatically different when viewed on different computer monitors. (High def monitors intensify most colors, mutate others, and can even turn regular colors neon bright.)
Even in person, beads can be little chameleons, changing colors dramatically when viewed in different lights. When you receive your beads, you should look at the colors in natural sunlight as well as by indoor light. Beads can change from blue to purple, clear to yellow, gray to amethyst, etc.
