From experience and research I can tell you Wild Heerbrugg Camera Company was founded in 1921 by Heinrich Wild; http://i.imgur.com/cuV1m90.png Heinrich Wild, who had already made significant advances in surveying instrumentation, developed the “Autograph”. This instrument, which was used for terrestrial mapping, they were a major leader in the camera manufacture business at the time your camera was first made in 1949. The camera was mounted on the plane and was a very accurate Aviograph stereoplotters that had the Aviotar high-precision photogrammetric lens that was invented in 1948 by the company. In in 1949 THIS CAMERA, the RC7 was produced by 1950 the A8 Autograph and RC7 aerial camera with Aviotar lens are manufactured there were over 2000 sold worldwide with under 700 of them being RC7’s so this is why they are rare and hard to find most were never pulled from the planes when they were scraped in later years.
