My Dad owned his own business, "Mckenzie Auto", for close to 40 years. It has closed down but what is left are these jewels of time that are in great re usable shape! One of which is the National brand cash register from the 1950s or 1960s. We have broken down the cash register and we are selling it in sections due to it weighing close to 150 pounds! All of the parts are original, with original manufacturing lubricant in tact. Because the register was not exposed to the light of day until we got a hold of it, it is free of rust and ware from elements etc. The metal is very high quality that you don't find very frequently any more. The springs...whoa these springs are like nothing that I have ever come across before. Tightly and soundly constructed with the intent to last! The entire cash register is made of metal in some way shape or form. VERY GOOD QUALITY PARTS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION! In fact, you can still push the buttons and they are still mechanically sound and operational! Please consider buying multiple items to combine shipping and multiple item discounts!
Behold... Here is some of the inner workings of the register. It is the section that printed out the receipt. Although this item is very heavy I can fit it into a flat rate box. This is in excellent vintage condition. Just look at all of those gears and metal pieces you can dig for and extract. Because the work seemed a little more mechanical than I anticipated I didn't fully dismantle this section. I didn't want to risk damaging any parts. Measurements: 13" long 10" tall 5" wide Full of miscellaneous gears and inner workings! Great metal vintage pieces! Would be excellent for and industrial steampunk project!
