Name: Lantana (Lantana Camara)
Description: Medium shrub with thick dark green leaves, woody stems and clusters of flowers that fade from red to orange to yellow, and sometimes even purple. Color varies between plants.
Type: Perennial. Evergreen in warmer climates.
Ideal Zone: 8+, can be grown as an annual in colder climates.
Sun: Full sun to part shade.
Soil Conditions: Will grow in nearly any well drained soil. Can withstand desert conditions.
Water Requirement: Extremely drought tolerant once established, although this may cause leaf loss.
Growing Instructions: Seeds should be soaked 24 hours in warm water prior to planting. Sow ⅛” below soil surface and keep soil consistently moist and at a temperature of 70 to 75F until sprouting occurs. May take up to 6 weeks to germinate.
Growing Notes: Tends to grow erratically and sprawl a bit when left unchecked. Clip back wayward limbs to encourage tighter growth and denser foliage. Stems do not bend like some other woody plants, and will break if attempting to bend them. Leaves are susceptible to various molds and mildews. If leaves look sickly, cut back affected portions of plant to create new growth.
In the Garden: Attracts all manner of butterflies and hummingbirds. Can be clipped into a dense hedge or border for privacy or accent. Non invasive and willing to share root space with other plants. Does not reseed easily in a garden setting as it’s berries are eaten by various birds and seed sprouting conditions are very specific.
My seeds are beginning to germinate which is exciting as this is a difficult plant to grow from seeds. Thank you !

I ordered some seeds and they were misplaced by the USPS. I was eager to receive my order before Christmas and the seller went right to the post office to send another order for me! My original order (Lantana seeds) were included and a few additional seeds were included to apologize for the shipping issue. The USPS is obviously out of anyone's control, but I really appreciated the time and attention - excellent customer service!!
I am excited to plant the seeds this summer and I will definitely place more orders from this lovely and reliable seller again.
