This is a digital pattern for an easy baby quilt that gives uses the smallest scraps in your stash.

It's super easy to make a quick gift this way without spending much time or money.

My sewing room was swimming in scraps until I realized I can cut 1½” squares from leftovers and toss them into a bin for a rainy day.

When I’m stressed or in between projects, I pull out the bin and make nine-patch blocks from my squares. It’s fun to find squares from my mom’s house dresses, cousin’s quilt and neighbor’s apron that I combine in new ways.

I press the blocks and leave them in the bin until I have enough. This quilt goes together amazingly quickly when your blocks are ready in advance.

I always have a baby gift at hand. And scraps from family give it extra meaning. Everyone has been quite happy to receive one of these quilts as a gift.
