NEWS FLASH/TANZANITE UPDATE:
It has just been announced that TanzaniteOne (the company responsible for mining) has now ceased ALL mining operations at the tanzanite site. They have gone so deep into the earth that it has become extremely dangerous for anyone to go down in the mines. Additionally, the material they were pulling up was so included and pale that it has caused the company to lose money now for the past five consecutive quarters.
The demand for this gemstone already far exceeds the supply and now that the announcement of TanzaniteOne pulling out of Tanzania has been made public, the cost is going to skyrocket!
This is fine quality tanzanite that has been faceted into fancy oval cuts. The stones possess a nice pastel blue color with a tinge of violet depending on the angle the light hits the stones.
Vanadium is the primary elemental impurity that imparts the basic blue color to tanzanite however, the size of the gemstone is what gives you the level of saturation. For example, a 7 x 5 mm high quality tanzanite will NEVER have the same level of blue saturation that a 10 x 8 mm has. It is simply impossible. Many folks assume they can get a deep, dark blue gemstone by purchasing a smaller size tanzanite stone. Unfortunately, it is just not the case, but that is not to say that you cannot acquire a beautiful piece of tanzanite in a smaller size and these gemstones are examples of high quality specimens. They are as saturated as you can get for the size that they are.
Total carat weight of the two stones is 0.90 carats and each stone measures 6 x 4 mm so they will fit into any standard 6 x 4 mm setting.
They would make a gorgeous set of earring studs. Tanzanite looks great in any precious metal whether it be sterling silver, yellow, white or rose gold or platinum. It's your choice.
Good quality tanzanite is becoming harder and harder to find and the prices keep rising and rising due to several factors:
The mines are running dry, what is being pulled out of the ground is often pale and highly included, a Chinese jeweler and siteholder of the mine is trying to buy up enough tanzanite to stock his 2200 jewelry stores in China leaving only about 15 percent of the total tanzanite for the rest of the world market and finally TanzaniteOne, the mining company pulled most of its operations in Tanzania and moved to Australia to mine for sapphires. A quote from the company stated, "we have had several quarters in a row where we have lost money on the tanzanite mining project". All of these factors have caused the price and value of tanzanite, even the lower quality, paler, heavily included gemstones to rise exponentially.
I bought a lot of tanzanite about a decade ago for investment purposes, so I am able to sell some of my own gems at a much lower price than many others.
Grab these beauties while you can. Everyone should have some tanzanite in their jewelry collection or gemstone collection and now is a perfect time to acquire it. Gone are the days of inexpensive tanzanite. Experts believe tanzanite prices will continue to rise with no end in sight.
I guarantee all of the gemstones I sell on etsy. If for any reason you are not 100 percent satisfied with your purchase I will gladly issue you a refund.

My shipping rates are a flat fee of 4.50 for the first item and 0.99 for each additional item in the same order. This covers all the costs of envelopes, packaging material, handling fees and trips to the post office. I sincerely apologize for the shipping rate increase but is beyond my control.
If you are an INTERNATIONAL BUYER, please contact me prior to checkout so I can look up the correct postage for your particular country. Sometimes there are issues with the customs agency of your country, so expect that there might possibly be a delay in delivery of your item. Please note, once a package leaves the United States, there is nothing I can really do to find out exactly where your package might be. If there is an issue, please use the customs number I provided with your order and contact your country's customs agency to find out when you may expect to receive your item.

Thank you for taking the time to read and understand my shop policies.
All the best!
All items purchased from my shop carry a 30 day warranty. Any item found to be damaged within 30 days of original receipt date will either be replaced (if possible) or a refund given for the full purchase price including shipping costs.
PLEASE NOTE: Items that are deemed to be damaged by improper handling or cleaning on the part of the purchaser are not covered under this warranty.
It is highly advised that you inspect your gemstone or jewelry piece very carefully immediately upon receipt because after the thirty day warranty period expires from the original receipt date, I cannot issue any refunds or exchanges for any purchase of any kind. This is in part due to the large number of attempted scams that force me to strictly adhere to this policy.
I have included some tips and pointers below to aid you in taking better care of your merchandise and specific cleaning techniques to help minimize potential damage occurring to your jewelry or gems.
Many of my gemstone jewelry items can be fragile if not protected from knocks and bumps due to their hardness scores on the Moh's scale. Care must be taken by the buyer to protect against damage especially rings as they are the type of jewelry most susceptible to damage and softer, more brittle gemstones, for example, opals and gemstones with lower Moh's numbers.
Care must also be taken when cleaning certain gemstones. Never use ANY harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaning on ANY items purchased from my shop. Using plain mild soap and warm water with an ultra soft toothbrush is the best cleaning method. This will help avoid damage to the gemstones used in creating some of my jewelry items and the gemstones themselves.
If you have any additional questions on how to take care of and protect your specific gemstone or jewelry piece, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be more than happy to share my knowledge with you.
ENJOY YOUR PURCHASE!!!!
