This Star Wars tenugui features C3P0 and R2D2 indulging in one of the highlights of a trip to Japan-a hot spring bath. This one's especially inviting, as it's outdoors with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji in the fading light.
That's a drawing of a 'noren' split curtain with the stylized mark of a public bath on it at the top. These two are clearly up on public bath etiquette, as they're taking care not to let their towels get in the water!
It's about 34cm wide and 90cm long(13.39" x 35.43").
Tenugui are traditional Japanese cotton cloths. They were originally used as hand towels and head bands, but are used today mainly as room accents and come in a huge variety of motifs. These would make striking room accents, in projects, or on a wall or a table and would look great framed.
This one's part of a selection of officially licensed Star Wars motifs that I'm offering. You can find them all in the Star Wars Tenugui section of my shop here:
I did a double take when I first saw this and the other designs I've listed separately, and then it made perfect sense- George Lucas has always cited Japanese cinema as a major influence!
