Item details

Few creatures in the animal kingdom can compare to the beauty grace and variety found in butterflies. They are truly one of my favorites and an embroidery pattern set was bound to become a reality at some point - it was just a matter of time. I'm happy to say that time has arrived and I am glad to introduce the "Kaleidoscope"* hand embroidery pattern set created in tribute to these winged wonders.

You will find embroidery designs for four different butterflies in two sizes in this set. You won't recognize them specifically from your zoology 101 class but what you will find is a refreshing take on these graceful insects. Each has a unique, modern and bold design with a crisp outline and lots of fun filling stitches.

In the examples shown you will see I used a natural linen fabric when I embroidered these but please feel free to use your favorite fabrics for a base when you embroider these. The same is true for the colors and stitches. I provide a color and stitch guide along with the patterns but I always encourage others to go ahead and try other combinations as well.

Additionally, a guide for transferring patterns to fabric is included.

I chose to frame my butterflies in hoops but these designs also look great stitched up on quilts, totebags, pillows, and all kinds of home sewing projects.

This listing is for a .PDF file of these patterns. Nothing will physically be sent to you. Your embroidery patterns will be available for download upon purchase so you are all set to start stitching! Read more about this feature here: https://www.etsy.com/help/article/3949

A complete guide to transferring patterns to fabric is included but if you have questions about the process of downloading and transferring the image, just let me know - I'm more than happy to help.
