Item details

This is not your typical flat crossbody bag! I've designed with a boxed bottom to give it dimension so you aren't squishing the contents! With an adjustable strap, it's the perfect on-the-go bag to keep you hands-free!

Dimensions: 8 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" tall, x 1 1/2 deep (at bottom)

Prerequisite Skills:
1. Sew a consistent 1/4" seam
2. Sew a gusset (tutorial provided)
3. Make a boxed corner/bottom (link to tutorial provided)
4. Sew a strap (link to tutorial provided)
5. Insert a tri-glide (directions included)
5. Use a walking foot.

1. 54" wide home decor fabric
2. Two 14" nylon zippers
3. 1 1/4" (or 1 1/2") tri-glide and rectangle ring.

There are two zippered pockets in the front and a slip pocket in the back. The flower pictured is NOT included.

It's constructed so the exterior fabric is also the lining fabric ( less cutting); because there are layers of fabric, you don't use interfacing (less cutting!). The zippers are installed using a basic technique - it's easier with a walking foot - so it's a good start for those of you who are a little nervous when working with zippers.

I provide ten pages of instructions that include photographs, tips, and supplemental tutorials. Once you get the hang of this, you'll be surprised by how quickly it goes together!

Happy sewing! Please do not share or redistribute this pattern.

If you have an problems, please contact me! Patterns are non-refundable, but I'll be happy to help you out!

Additional policies

On occasion, my cat(s) hang out with me. Although I keep things clean/neat, a stray cat hair might show up on your pillow cover and/or bag tag. But other than that, there are no funky smells or weird things to worry about.
