“Petit Crocus” is a pullover with a textured back and textured elbows, a scoop neck and long sleeves. It’s the child version of ”Grand crocus”.
It is knitted from the top down, with seamless construction. Set-in sleeves are worked together with the bodice after picking up and knitting a few stitches at the shoulders.
We begin by casting on stitches for the back to form the neckline and the beginning of the back pattern. Then we pick up and knit stitches for each shoulder to form the beginning of the front neckline. After a few rows, we pick up and knit stitches for the sleeve caps, and knit the sleeves together with the body. The top of the sweater is knitted back and forth to form the placket and the front round neckline. After the separation between sleeves and body, the bottom of the body is knitted up to the lower edge ribbing. Sleeves are then knitted in the round with an elbow patch and ended with a ribbing border. We end with the button band and an I-Cord edge around the neckline.
A “Technique” book is provided with this pattern with step by step photo tutorials for each techniques and for the sweater top construction.
