Succulent Lithops Stoneface
Lithops is a genus of succulent plants native to Southern Africa. "Lithos" means "stone" and "-ops" means "face" in Ancient Greek; therefore "Lithops" means "stone-like". The formation of the name from the Greek "ops" means that even a single plant is called a Lithops. This is a very good description of these plants, which avoid being eaten by blending in with surrounding rocks. They are also called ‘pebble plants’.
Succulent plants are among the hardiest, most drought-tolerant in the world and very easy to maintain, as long as they are planted in a porous cactus/succulent soil, given proper drainage, daily bright light, and not over watered.
You will receive 1 well-established, rooted plant, currently growing in a 2.5 inch pot, sent barefoot. The amount of actual stones will vary depending on the size of the stones that are growing in a pot. Packaged with great care. It will be shipped via USPS Priority mail.
If you are ordering from an area with weather below 32 degrees, please consider purchasing a heat pack.

Shipping & policies
***************************PLEASE READ INFORMATION*******************************
HERE IS WHERE ALL NEW INFORMATION AND CHANGES WILL BE REGARDNG SHIPPING TIMES.
Shipping occurs 7-10 days but will be adjusted during holidays AND OUR VACATION via USPS 2-3 day priority mail. Once the plant is ordered, we want to make sure that the roots are bare when shipped and dry dirt falls off much easier than wet dirt. Please open your package and unwrap as soon as they arrive. Succulent plants can lose their color and as with all living plants, they really prefer to get out of their boxes and into a good soil mixture. Place where they can get good filtered sun and water only when the soil is dry to the touch. Any of the listings that state plants are shipped bare root means that they are out of the pot and have very little soil. While they can travel that way its best to get them replanted as soon as they get to their new home.
Etsy and PayPal addresses must match. We are not responsible if the package is sent to an incorrect address, so please verify the shipping address. Signature confirmation is not customary but it is a available upon request. Lost or stolen packages are not Succulentbabies responsibility once your order has been shipped.
Another option, if you order please check your ship date. If you need your order sooner than the ship date place a note in your order. I will be happy to try and get it in the mail sooner if possible.
Succulentbabies accepts all major credit cards, Paypal and Etsy Gift cards as form of payment. All purchases and reserve listings must be paid for within 3 days unless other arrangements have been made. Non-payment will result in cancellation. Special orders require a third of the cost as the deposit to reserve for a later ship date. Deposits are refundable up to one month before your ship date, i e, if your ship date is 6-6-2013 then you will have until 5-6-2013 to cancel your order and receive your deposit back. Cancellations with less than a 30 day notice will not receive a deposit back
California residents must pay 8.25% sales tax which will be added to your invoice when checking out. As always, please contact us if you are unsure we will be glad to help you.
