Item details

Pdf pattern for knitting this baker boy hat with peak, to fit 54-60cm head circumference.
A4 pattern includes a template for adding a plastic or cardboard insert to the peak to make it firm.

Designed for confident beginners, this pattern uses simple increasing and decreasing techniques in stocking/stockinette stitch. Pattern includes instructions for working the hat in the round or in rows, plus a page of Abbreviations.

Pattern has been adapted so you can choose to make the hat in one of two tweed aran-weight yarns: Rowan Silky Tweed (the orange hat) or Rowan Felted Tweed (the red hat).

To make this hat, you will also need:
• Rowan Silky Tweed (1 skein) or Rowan Felted Tweed (2 balls or 3 balls for making two hats)
• A pair of 5mm needles (for working the hat in rows) OR a 5mm circular needle and a set of 5mm double-pointed needles (for working the hat in rounds).
• 9 stitch markers, one in a different colour.
• Piece of cardboard or thin plastic, 12x22cm.
