Very clean Polaroid 104, ready to shoot. The 104 was the fifth Polaroid packfilm model. Popularity of the new packfilm designs was sky high during the early 1960s, but the $165 price tag of the 100 (over $1,000 in current dollars) was limiting sales, and the company's profit center was film. Less expensive models used the same film and flash, but lowered the buy-in cost. If was a very effective strategy, and the 104 and its nearly identical replacement the 210 each sold over 1,000,000 copies. Happy days in Cambridge, Mass.
Simple zone focus camera with lens settings for color and black and white film, same photocell controlled automatic shutter system as the 100. Experience instant film as it was 50 years ago.
Takes 100 series peel-apart film, Fuji FP-100C or FP-3000B.
