Item details

Navajo Churro roving produced by our ewe Ivory, sheared by us, and processed by Stonehedge Fiber mill. This listing is for 4 ounces. Please contact me if you need more. If I have enough it will be $35.00 a pound.

Ivory's wool is typical Navajo Churro with long, strong outer fibers and soft inner fibers. We do not coat our sheep so Ivory's wool has a little bit of vegetable matter.

Navajo Churro wool is not next to the skin soft but it makes an incredibly strong, lustrous and durable roving that is easy to spin and felt for rugs and outerwear. Also great for those chunky crochet roving rugs and blankets.

The Navajo Churro is a threatened breed of sheep that deserves a place on this earth. They are a hardy little breed with a history of providing the kind of wool that can make a beautiful handcrafted item that will last generations.
