Nalbinding is an ancient sewing technique that predates modern crochet and knitting by thousands of years. This craft was made popular with the Vikings using popular stitches such as the Oslo stitch. Proper use of the technique requires the use of a bone needle.
This is a bone needle with small etchings on it for nalbinding. It measures 2 1/4 inches long. It has a hole large enough to hold a 2mm cord or string. The needle has been carved and then polished smooth so it has no sharp edges and is suitable for sewing. It has a nice chunky feel to its size and the etchings make it easier to grip with the fingers.

Shipping & policies
The items shown are ready to ship and will be processed within 1-3 days after purchase and no later than 5 business days.
Shipping costs are provided for each listing for both Domestic and International rates. Please review the payment policy in this shop before making your purchase.
When purchasing multiple items the total shipping will be discounted on checkout automatically through Etsy. If there is a miscalculation on shipping charges, I always refund overages back to the buyer. An order of more than one item will not be broken into multiple packages to avoid import duties.
I accept payments through major credit or debit cards through PayPal as well as Direct Checkout and Etsy Gift cards. You do not need a Paypal account to use that option. Custom project requests are subject to approval and might require a deposit based on the size of the project. Upon completion of the custom projects, the item will be processed to ship within 3 days of payment. Message me to discuss the details of custom requests.
I will NOT mark an international package as a "gift" so you can avoid paying imports, tariffs, or taxes on your package. If your country charges a Value Added Tax (VAT) on imported goods, these charges are the Buyer's responsibility and duty to pay. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country for the purchase price. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. All charges for customs clearance must be paid by the recipient. I have no control over these charges, cannot predict what they may be and I am not responsible for paying them. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delivery delays outside of my control. When purchasing more than one item, shipping is combined. An order of more than one item will not be broken into multiple packages to avoid import duties. Full purchase price is listed on each customs form.
