Item details

You know those times that you are doing a project that uses just small amounts of yarn, ribbon, twine, thread, or, well you know... and maybe you need several colors, or pieces, and you DON'T want to get them tangled, or dirty. It's time to put them on a bobbin.

These are my version of an inexpensive, but durable bobbin for all kinds of projects, maybe braiding, intarsia knitting, beading, or, well you know the list goes on.

I have three sizes;
Baby Bears come in sets of 12, and the are 3/4" between the ears. A very compact and handy way to manage small bits of fibers.

Mama Bears come in sets of 8, and are 1" between the ears. Handy for longer amounts of fibers, and as an added advantage, she can be used as a yarn gauge also. (WPI)

Papa Bears come in sets of 4, and are 2" between the ears. Handy way to manage fibers for larger projects. As an added advantage, he can be a small hand loom to test a color way.

I like to use these to keep my long strings of beads in control.

    Average review
    These are wonderful. They hold a complete skein of embroidery floss and feel better than the plastic ones. My only suggestion is to add a hole so they can be pinned to the corner of my work.

    Clean lines, and the notch makes these perfect to work with, no yarn dropping off when you don't want it too.

    Nice little bobbins. Well finished; I have not noticed any rough spots.

Additional policies

If you see something in my shop, or if you have met me in person at a show, and have some specialty that you would like, drop me a line, I will give it some thought, and see what we can come up with. I seem to be really busy with a lot of different things these days, aren't we all, so sometimes things get dusty sitting in my head, and I may need a reminder occasionally to dig those ideas back up to the top of my brain.

I do occasionally deal in quantity for wholesale, for vendors, convo me for more information.
