Vintage 1950s Butterick 8676 sewing pattern and instructions for Young Girls' Dress with multiple pleating options SUB-TEENS' LOW-WAISTED DRESS & JUMPER: Low-waistline dress or jumper of pressed or unpressed pleats. (A) Scooped-neck"chemise jumper" with hip-band and pressed box pleats. (B) Three-quarter sleeved dress with button trim, contrast Puritan collar, and unpressed-pleated skirt. (C) Provincial version with trim.
Pattern is new, unused / uncut in factory-folded (FF) condition. The envelope has aged as seen in the photos with some discoloration on the front and back, but the instructions are 100% intact as are the pattern pieces.
This design is marked for a Girls' Size 10S which is noted as a Bust of 29", Waist 24", and 32" Hip though I would not be concerned with the sizing if the style and shape are right for your project. There are an endless number of websites and blogs offering step-by-step instructions on how to accurately resize vintage sewing patterns for the perfect fit.
Although the exact date of this pattern is unknown, the evolution of Butterick's method of sizing their patterns places it between 1956 and 1966.
