I used peaches and cream yarn made in Canada 100% cotton. I used buttons for eyes rather than embroider.also crochet his beak rather than using felt. I had the thread. My daughter is a teacher and has a Christmas tree full of handmade owls this will be another to add. Pattern was easy to follow, well illustrated.
