This vintage raw brass chain was made in the 80's in the U.S. at a chain factory here in New England that is no longer in business. It's made with a very fine gauge (1/32") of wire that forms the flat oval links that are 3mm long and 1.5mm wide or 1/8" long x 1/16" wide. It's a red brass color and not a golden brass. This is a very fluid chain and drapes well. It's hands down our most popular chain, and a good buy. There are 10 links to the inch, and it's made from nickel-free raw brass and has acquired a bit of natural patina while it was stored. The links are soldered,so they will never pull apart. This chain is best used for those delicate fine necklaces and also to hang in multiples from earrings with tiny gems or tiny pearls or glass beads on the chains. It will also work for smaller scale necklace centerpieces and lockets. Please do remember that the photos shown are taken up close to show the detail, and the chain does not look this large in person. Go by the measurements and description as you always should from any seller.
