I do not do custom dyeing on your fiber. Dyeing is very careful and fussy work and I'd hate for something to go wrong on your project.
It's OK. You're not the first person to be confused when confronted with a skein instead of a ball. The trick with all yarns, especially slippery or fine yarns, is to keep the skein held firmly with no sagging while you wind into a ball. You can use your knees, a couple of chairs, a friend's hands, a swift [special tool for just this purpose!]. Take your time, don't rush it and if you feel it getting out of control - stop, breathe, and arrange your skein better. You'll be an expert in no time at all.
My handwovens are one of a kind. I often use 20 different yarns in a project. Hand-dyed things cannot be replicated. I have given the measurements for each item and you are welcome to contact me to see if the fabric will stretch an extra inch or so when worn, but I cannot make another one 'just like that one' but 2 inches wider.
Yarn/handwovens: Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry. Wooden spindles: Dust occasionally and polish with your favorite furniture polish.
I no longer to wholesale or quantity discounts. However, I do offer free shipping on any order over $200 not including sales tax [Indiana]. Feel free to contact me with questions.
