This furoshiki features a calico cat dozing on a cold winter day. She's keeping warm on top of a 'kotatsu' heated table with camellia and a snowman in the garden.
This scene is based on a design by the artist Hiromi Sato and in typical fashion she has embellished a palette of vibrant hues with traditional Japanese patterns. Look closely at the falling snow and you'll see a lovely traditional repeat wave pattern called seigaiha!
Furoshiki are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths. It's about 50cm x 50cm(19.69" x 19.69") and is a high quality 100% cotton.

The rich colors and texture and size have made these smaller furoshiki quite popular for home decor and in sewing projects! They can also be used as a furoshiki to wrap small objects-please take care to measure first, allowing ample room for tying.
