Delicate, rustic, mini vine wreaths, ready for your own decorations

These tiny wreaths are made from green briar vine, gathered from my property, de-thorned and hand-fashioned into delicate circlets. They are then air dried, and mellow to a lovely natural brown color. Their tiny size makes them perfect for decorating chairbacks and tablescapes. Leave them plain, decorate them as I have in pictures 2 and 3, or add your own personal touch.

• natural brown color
• real briar vine
• 5"-6" diameter
• You get 10
• Decorations: none

About the vines:
I call the vines "grapevine" because many people associate any vine wreath with grapevine. I like working with this particular vine, green briar, because it is strong and very smooth once it is de-thorned. Other vines I like to work with also have their own charming characteristics. Wild clematis, honeysuckle, greenbriar and, of course, grapevine are some of the kinds of vines I gather from the wild and fashion into wreaths and other items. I make wreaths in all sizes, In fact my largest is 4 feet in diameter and hangs over a gabled window at Christmas time. Please convo me if you need a custom order.

About decorating the wreaths:
My favorite way to use these wreaths is as chairback decorations like the ones in the photos. To make these I:

• Cut 2 pieces of ribbon, 24” each, for each wreath.
• Wrap 1 piece around top back of chair and tie or pin a wreath to it, hanging from the bottom of the loop it makes.
• Tie a bow around ribbon right where it meets the wreath.
• Decorate wreath with roses, ferns, whatever. If you tuck in fresh materials with no source of water, you need to keep the wreath out of the sun and heat if you want it to last several hours. Otherwise use water vials or bits of florist oasis tucked into the vine and hidden with decorations.
