This pattern is to make a Frankenstein doll that is 14" tall. He has jointed legs so he can sit easily. The pattern also includes the pattern and instructions for the pants. I do not recommend this pattern for a novice sewist. If you are a patient beginner, you can follow my instructions to make this doll. The full color, step-by-step, photo tutorial makes this pattern so easy to follow. I've also included my secrets and techniques guide that shows you how to customize the doll. This tutorial uses safety eyes, but the guide shows you how to paint or embroider eyes if you prefer those methods. Everything prints on normal, 8.5x11 printer paper, no need for enlargements. You can make this entire doll with a standard machine, no serger or embroidery machine needed. I made this doll with the most basic machine available so that any sewist can make the pattern with the machine they have available to them. The pattern is available for instant download, no waiting.
These patterns are designed to use fat quarters and felt squares. You can also use yardage, but each pattern uses 2 fat quarters (well part of them - there will be scraps for other projects) and 3-4 felt squares. This puts your total cost per doll around $6.00. If you are using yardage, you can make multiple dolls for about $3-$4 each. The dolls body and clothes are cotton. The face, arms, and legs are felt. You can make the doll entirely out of cotton. I just prefer to use some felt when I make the dolls.
Can you sell finished projects made from this pattern? Yep! Good Luck. (Just please don't share my pattern. Each digital pattern takes me about 10-12 hours to create.)
