In honor of superhero nerds everywhere, I created The Freedom Throw, inspired by the marvelous Captain America shield. A red, white, and blue star-in-circle shield motif lies in the center of this circular lap afghan, sized perfectly for display on the back of your sofa or recliner. Want to crochet a set of patriotic disc place mats? Easy! Just stop crocheting after the inner shield motif and you have the perfect size for your place setting. Make as many as you need.
