This is a very tiny leaf motif stamp, carved by hand into the tip of a steel nail. The image is about 2 x 3mm and looks like the leaves of a rose bush. It can be used to stamp dead-soft precious metals, precious metal clay, polymer clay and leather. This tiny motif can be used to decorate bezels, ring shanks, or other small areas of jewelry.
I carve my tiny stamps into good quality steel, then harden, temper, and polish them. I test each stamp before putting it up for sale. The results of this test, in dead-soft copper, are shown oxidized in the first image. Metal must be annealed before stamping or the imprint will not be of a very good quality. _____
I am happy to create custom stamps to your specifications (micro or large sized). All of them are hand carved, so some tiny details, like lettering, may not be possible below certain sizes. Please contact me for details and pricing and I will post a custom listing for you! _____
I like to use discarded or scrap materials for my tools wherever possible. I make sure that the metal is of good quality for the intended use, clean it, anneal it, and transform it. Old nails, drill bits, bolts and various bits of machinery are given new life here!
I use USPS Priority Mail for shipping. I will only charge what I pay for the shipping, and I will combine as many items as will fit in a box for the same shipping fee. (Note that the shipping fee on fine jewelry is higher because I will purchase insurance and signature confirmation for the package!) I will happily refund any overpayment. I am happy to use a different shipping method if that works better for you. If you have any special requests for shipping, please contact me.
I will strive to ship any available merchandise as quickly as possible, and custom orders as soon as possible. I will expedite shipping if requested.
Payment for any custom orders is fully negotiable as far as schedule and amount. I generally require a 50% deposit that is non-refundable. For high end custom work, I will negotiate individually.
