#VP105 - A Year of Cats

This embroidery pattern is a high-quality digitally-traced copy of a set of twelve stamped-for-embroidery quilt blocks from my personal collection. After completing each 8" square block you added sashing in between to make a baby or child's quilt. You could also use them individually for pillows, pictures, or to decorate children's clothing. There are twelve designs (three are shown in the examples), one for each month of the year and each featuring a cat doing something appropriate to the month—

January: cat on a sled
February: cat with a valentine
March: cat wearing a scarf on a windy day
April: cat with an umbrella in the rain
May: cat smelling flowers
June: cat with butterfly
July: cat with firecrackers
August: cat at the beach
September: back-to-school cat
October: cat with jack-o'-lantern
November: cat cooking turkey
December: cat with holiday stocking

This listing is for an instant download of two PDF files. Once your payment has been processed you'll be directed to download your files—one containing a cover sheet and twelves patterns, the other a basic guide to embroidery stitches (you can also find this on my website at http://www.primrosedesign.com/gallery/image/embroidery-stitch-guide). Print the patterns out on 8.5 x 11 paper, then trace the designs or transfer them to your fabric using the method of your choice. You must have Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to be able to open and print the files, but this is available for free from Adobe if you don't already have it on your computer.

If you need more help with embroidery stitches be sure to check out the Stitch School embroidery posts on my blog http://stitchschool.blogspot.com. You'll find detailed instuctions and step-by-step photographs for about thirty different stitches.

FAQs

If you have a brick-and-mortar shop and would like to discuss including my creations in your product mix, please contact me. I do both wholesale and consignment and I'm happy to work with you in tailoring my products to your customers needs. Please keep in mind that my items are one-of-a-kind or limited edition but I can work in a custom color or style range.

I'm happy to do custom orders for pillows and handmade items and often use vintage materials supplied by the customer. Email me to discuss your project.

Most foreign countries have restrictions on importing plant materials; that's why I can't ship my lavender-filled sachets outside the U.S.
