This was difficult color to get on camera because it has a sheen. It is also silky and soft, drafts so easily. It is a very dark brown, some might call it bay black, but I think it's closer to brown. I washed and prepped it, then sent it to a cottage mill to run through their carder hoping to get more of the vegetation out, as the fiber is so fine, vegetation clung to it. This came from a yearling boy alpaca named "Book of Eli". Eli is a sweet boy who loves people. Someone will fall in love with this fiber. If you love dark browns, you'll be humming like an alpaca over this fiber. I currently have one 8 oz bump of it, but I will be rolling more into bumps. All of our proceeds go towards the care of our alpaca herd in SW Ohio. Thank you for looking. I have one more of an 8 oz bump, 3 of the 4 oz bumps, 1 of the 4.4 oz, and 1 of the 2.4 bump.
