The pattern was pretty easy to follow and it forced me to learn how to use my serger. If I could ask anything it would be to add in what a blind hem is. I had no idea and it took forever, and the stitch is far from straight. I'm not sure if "beginner" seamstresses would know how to pull elastic through the sewing machine - maybe "intermediate beginner" would be more appropriate. The pictures in the pattern were VERY helpful. I'll make another likely with cotton and see if it turns out better.
Edit: I did make one with cotton and although it turned out cute, I still had a major problem with the hem. Again - not really a project for beginner seamstresses.
