This is propolis, collected by bees from the buds and sap of trees and used in their hives as an anti-bacterial sealant. We scrape and collect the propolis from the hive and offer it to you here in it's sticky, waxy form. Our honeybees gather the propolis from trees and other plants and use it to patch up holes in the hive. It acts as an antiseptic barrier that will cover invaders and prevent hive contamination. You will receive a .5 oz miniature glass jar of propolis. It measures 2" tall and 1.6" wide at the base.
People use propolis for a variety of reasons, most commonly to create tinctures or salves that can be applied to the body. It is often used as a mouth rinse, a treatment of minor burns or scrapes, and internally as a nutritional supplement. It is believed to have activity against bacteria, viruses, and fungi, as well as anti-inflammatory effects.
The composition and color of propolis will vary from season to season and hive to hive. It is normally dark brown, but some variation will occur.
We offer no advice on how to use this product. Please use this product carefully, as propolis can cause allergic reactions in those that are sensitive to bee products.
Fantastic propolis! I’m making a tincture with it and I was thrilled to find a small biz offering pure propolis. Lots that I was founding online were cutting it with cacao, but this is the real deal! Thank you!

Received very quickly, exactly as described. I am using this propolis as an incense ingredient, and it is perfect! I've tried other propolis from other regions, and so far this is the best. Rich, aromatic , the "scent of summer". Thanks!

Propolis is a new product that I am excited to try. Since I live in Ohio, I am happy to have found a home state site on Etsy to purchase Propolis.
We ship via USPS. If we overcharge you for shipping by $1.00 or more we will refund your account via the same method you paid. Due to restrictions on shipping honey (considered an agricultural product) to other countries, along with the time it takes to determine shipping and set up custom listings, we are unable to ship internationally at this time.
We accept credit cards, paypal, cashier's check or money orders, and personal checks. State sales tax is required on purchases of soap and beeswax for Ohio residents. If paying with a check or money order, please send payment within 15 days. If payment is not received within this time, I will contact you to arrange payment, and if there is no response or payment I reserve the right to cancel the order.

Additional return information
We want you to be 100% happy with your order, and are happy to offer full refunds for any merchandise that does not meet your quality standards. If you order a jar of honey from us and find it broken or open upon arrival, simply let us know and we will replace it free of charge. Please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order if you have any complaints.
All raw honey (honey fresh from the beehive) will granulate (get cloudy and thick) in time. This is natural, and does not mean the honey has "gone bad", as honey does not spoil. Simply heat the container in a hot pot of water to re-liquify. We recommend not heating it over 100 degrees to prevent the loss of flavor, enzymes, and nutritional benefits.
